About the Role
The Senior Associate, Business Development & Partnerships at Monod Bio will actively support the identification, establishment, and management of strategic partnerships. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this role involves assisting senior leadership in expanding external collaborations, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining successful partnership execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct targeted market and competitor analyses to identify potential partnership opportunities.
- Generate leads and proactively engage potential partners through outreach campaigns, industry networking, and direct communication.
- Coordinate, schedule, and participate in partnership meetings, capturing meeting insights and managing follow-up activities.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), material transfer agreements (MTAs), and research collaboration agreements, under supervision from senior team members.
- Generate quotes, issue invoices, and coordinate materials transfer to partners.
- Manage operational and administrative aspects of partnership programs, including database management and creation of tracking documentation.
- Prepare high-quality internal and external communications, reports, presentations, briefing papers, and summaries.
- Monitor partnership performance, conduct analysis, and generate regular reports to track partnership effectiveness and suggest potential improvements.
- Attend and represent the company at relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (scientific, legal, operations teams) to support partnership activities and ensure effective communication and compliance.
- Other duties & projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a STEM or business-related field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or similar roles within the life sciences, biotechnology, or diagnostics industry.
- Familiarity with standard office tools (Google Drive, MS Office Suite).
- Strong analytical skills and experience conducting market research and performance analysis.
